I wrote two pages this morning. Any progress is good. I have about ninety-nine pages left to write. It feels like the home stretch, but I know there is a lot of writing and editing and rewriting left after those ninety-nine pages.
Right now, I’m drinking some chai tea. I’m sure my former coworker from Nepal would say, “It’s not chai tea. It’s just chai. That’s like saying ATM machine. The ‘M’ stands for machine.” I didn’t have a retort for him at the time, but I do now. I borrowed a word and I’m using it improperly to you, but to me it’s just another adjective. To me chai tea means spicy tea or Indian tea. It’s most likely redundant or repetitive to you, however to me it adds nuance. People borrow and misuse words from other languages all the time. It doesn’t make it wrong. It’s just a new twist on something familiar to you.
Here’s today’s sketch. What kind of pie do you think it is?
