Manga Drawing Practice: Book Worm Loner

I don’t know if I’m improving or not. Maybe it’s because I took too long of a break. This is my take on Christopher Hart’s Book Worm Loner example in his book, The Master Guide to Drawing Anime. I made her chin longer and than the example image from his book, but I think it still reads well. Anyway, here’s the time-lapse video of how I drew it.

I used the symmetry drawing guide in procreate to save time since it’s a front view. I sketched first it in colored pencil to make it easier to see where I already inked so to speak. I gave her purple hair because it’s an anime trope that I like. Let me know if you like it in the comments or if you have any tips on drawing better in procreate.
