This is my attempt at drawing the average anime schoolgirl in proportion. I didn’t get it right the first time. The character is from Christopher Hart’s book “The Master Guide to Drawing Anime”. He says in his book that the characters are usually about seven heads tall, so I tried to make it fit with in my lines, but it wasn’t quite right. After looking back at the page more carefully I notice that the character’s weren’t squished into the guidelines. Once I noticed that it became clear to me that I made the character’s head too small. I had to do some minor brain surgery on the character before I got it to my satisfaction. I’m still not sure if I got the arms right. Anyway, here is the timelapse of the drawing:
