I had real trouble with this one. The goal was to draw a captain pirate and three of the crew. I didn’t give myself enough time to make 4 presentations quality illustration. I made 2 that are ok, but I’m not exactly proud of them. But I’m getting ahead of myself. I had to come up with 7 quick sketches of pirates before I could whittle them down to 4. But I had the choice paralysis when it came to selecting my 4. I asked people on the internet and got zero replies. I asked friends, family and acquaintances. My friends and family answered right away. My acquaintances’ responses were mixed. I ended up being only able to make two, if I’m going to stick with today as my self-imposed deadline.

Without further ado, here are the two illustrations.

If I decide to come back to this project and finish the other two illustrations, I’d choose the dwarf in the crow’s nest and the skinny pirate with the with the frilled collar.
